a.- he used his stand up to transitition into the gym
b.- by saying she was just 4 feet tall he ended up getting information out of the boys that they all had crushes on her. he basically jus said facts.

setting- he describes the atmosphere (playground)
foreshadowing- saying , "because she wouldn't have been safe." then continuing to talk about a mob foreshadows of something happening probly with the mob
conflict- " they were shouting and pointing and i didn't quite understand why they were so angry"
character growth- " Ruby was just 6...chosen to desegregate this New Orleans school...alone."
resolution- the segregation was resolved
